Get to know the stories of young ambassadors of change

YOUNG FEMALE LEADERS NETWORK is a new project of GLOW Georgia, which is being implemented within the ALUMNI grant of the United States of America. During the project, girls living in different parts of Georgia have the opportunity to become ambassadors of change in their community.

Through this blog, you will have the opportunity to get to know the stories of the ambassadors of change!

Mari Malvenovi and Mariam Samarjishvili unite 15 girls from Vale and implement various cognitive projects with them.

To support the girls, a "Skills for tomorrow" meeting was held in October, the main goal is to develop such important skills in girls as: critical thinking, problem-solving skills, adaptability, effective communication, leadership skills and emotion management.

In addition, Mari Malvenovi also holds motivational and inspirational meetings at her club, promoting women who have changed the world.

Mariam Samarjishvili spoke about discrimination at the request of the club members, where during the meeting with the girls she discussed such issues as: the meaning of the term, types of discrimination, information about the protective law etc.

"The club members themselves and the days spent at the camp give me the desire and motivation to implement projects. My main desire is to give young people the opportunity to receive informal education, and I also want young people to have the opportunity to make new friends" - Mariam Samarjishvili

Glow ambassadors are in different parts of Georgia and actively cooperate with each other. For example, meet Anna, within the framework of whose project she collaborated with the Glow Club of Vale.

Ana Ghugunishvili from Chiatura brings together 20 girls and becomes the initiator of news with them.

Ana's first activity was meeting "SLUSH" founder Sofia Kiladze and sharing her experience. The speaker talked about the obstacles that she encountered in the process of creating a business as a woman.

Cooperation with "Sulakauri Publishing" was the next project for Anna. Essay competition for Chiatura Glow Club members is underway and books will be given as a gift to the winner.

"The source of motivation for me was thinking about a better future, if I could help at least one girl find herself and overcome complexes with my Glow Club, it would be a great achievement for me. I do projects with joy, because I know that I will make girls see the world in a different way" - Ana Ghugunishvili

Evelin Krapiva is an active member of GLOW, which brings together 8 Ukrainian youth in Georgia and holds meetings with them about tolerance and other important issues.

"My main motivation is to bring Georgian and Ukrainian teenagers closer with the projects I am doing and most importantly to help the Ukrainian students around me to socialise" - Evelin Krapiva

We should also introduce you to Nino Jabidze, who offers various interesting and informative meetings to girls from Baghdadi. Nino gathered about 35 girls in Glow Club and organised about 18 activities, which served to eliminate municipal problems, empower and support girls.

"My main motivation is the results that we get after implementing the initiatives. I think that the desire to constantly search for new things, develop and not stop unites me and my team members." - Nino Jabidze

And finally, Glow's success stories don't end here, so stay tuned to our blog so you don't miss stories of young female leaders making a positive difference in their communities!
